Michael O'Connor Memorial Bandstand
The Town of Mahone Bay has already completed two phases of renovations on the Mahone Bay bandstand, one of which included giving it the name Michael O’Connor Memorial Bandstand. Phase I involved structural renovations; Phase II involved accessibility upgrades (including the walkway and bleachers) and a new roof. We’re looking ahead to Phase III – making further improvements to the Michael O’Connor Memorial Bandstand, and part of this project is to hear from the people of Mahone Bay about the possibilities for this special part of life in Mahone Bay.To read the Bandstand Engagement Plan Staff Report that was provided to Council, click here.
100 Trees: 100 Years
The Town of Mahone Bay celebrated 100 years of incorporation in 2019/20. One of the projects to mark the centennial had a goal of planting 100 trees to mark the centennial; the 112 trees planted are mapped for the information of anyone interested.

The Bayview Cemetery in Mahone Bay is a Municipal Heritage Property, and it has a rare collection of standing stones, some in German, of the first generation of European settlers. In 2016/17 the stones at Bayview Cemetery were catalogued by a team of volunteers and Town staff developed a digital map. Digital Map
